The Power Contractor was founded in 2010 in Nanjing, China. We are an independent industrial sourcing house and EPC contractor — we supply new, genuine OEM equipment to operators on five continents, and we execute turnkey engineering, procurement and construction for energy projects across the Middle East and North Africa.

We started as a specialised equipment sourcing house in Nanjing — finding obsolete and hard-to-obtain replacement parts for power stations that had stopped producing electricity. Over fifteen years, that one-off problem-solving turned into a structured business: a curated catalog of 22,300+ part numbers, direct working relationships with authorized distributors, and an inspection capability that catches counterfeits before they hit the dock.
Around 2015, we started getting asked to do more than just supply parts. Refineries asked us to design the upgrade. Power producers asked us to source the whole BoP package. Government ministries asked us to build the plant. Today, those EPC engagements sit alongside the catalog business, served by the same procurement spine.
